The staff of Lakeside Baptist Church seek to be truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bios of our staff and their qualifications for ministry.
Brains of the Operation
Jenny (Hamilton) Grider is a native of Backus and grew up as a part of Lakeside. She and her husband, Thad, have five lovely daughters who are fourth generation members of the Lakeside family. Jenny has college training in Bible, dental office work, and accounting. As the church clerk and secretary, Jenny keeps the books and records, and is an invaluable asset to the daily functioning of Lakeside Baptist Church.
Pastor Greg has been serving as Lakeside Baptist Church's Senior Pastor since September of 2017. Prior to that, he served as pastor in churches in Wisconsin and Kansas.
The attributes that best describe Pastor Greg as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development, and Biblical focus. He is driven to lead a church like Lakeside Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Greg takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.
He graduated from Maranatha Baptist University, Watertown, Wisconsin in 1983 with a degree in Bible and Pastoral Theology.
Pastor Greg has been happily married for 37 to his wife, Crickett. They have six children and thirteen grandchildren.
Ian Fennell was brought on a Pastor Greg's assistant in June of 2019. He is a 2018 graduate of Maranatha Baptist University, Watertown, WI. Ian and his wife Christina have been married for 2 years.
The word most often associated with Ian is "energy." He has a heart to serve and a deep desire to be a blessing.
Ian works in a variety of ministries, ministering to our children and youth. He also leads the congregational singing and is involved in our ministries at a local assisted living facility.
